Case study · Sound regulation protocol for misophonia

Premier Pet

Psychoacoustic sound masking for anxiety and misophonia in dogs, with veterinary technical endorsement.

The challenge

Everyday sounds, like fireworks, thunder and home appliances, can trigger intense anxiety and misophonia responses in dogs. Premier Pet came to us to tackle this problem with science, not guesswork.

The protocol

We developed a sound regulation protocol based on psychoacoustic sound masking: audio designed to reduce the salience of sound triggers and guide the animal into a calmer state, recorded and produced by SSS.

The veterinary technical endorsement ensures the solution respects animal physiology and behavior.Dr. Mariane Lamberts · Veterinarian, UFRGS lecturer

How it works

Trigger mapping

Identifying the sounds that fire the stress responses.

Psychoacoustic design

Composing masking audio calibrated for canine hearing.

Application

Guided use of the audio in trigger-exposure contexts.

Follow-up

Observing behavioral response and adjusting the protocol.

The result

A practical, non-invasive tool for pet parents and for the brand: sound at the service of animal well-being, scientifically grounded and technically validated by a veterinarian.
